Sukh Dhaliwal

Sukh Dhaliwal is a Canadian politician and businessman who has served as the Liberal Member of Parliament for Surrey—Newton since 2015, having previously represented Newton—North Delta from 2006 to 2011. Born in Sujapur, India, he immigrated to Canada in 1999 and established a career as a professional engineer and land surveyor. Throughout his parliamentary tenure, Dhaliwal has focused on issues such as foreign interference, notably introducing Motion M-112 to address threats to Canadian democratic processes. He has also been a prominent advocate for the official recognition of Sikh Heritage Month in Canada.
