Surendra Chaurasia is an Indian politician currently serving as a member of the 18th Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly, representing the Rampur Karkhana constituency. Born in the village of Kushahari in the Deoria district, he began his political journey in student politics with the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad before joining the Hindu Yuva Vahini. Influenced by the Hindutva ideology under the guidance of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, he was elected as a member of the District Panchayat in 2010. In 2022, he achieved a significant electoral victory by defeating a veteran candidate to become one of the youngest members of the state assembly. Outside of his political career, he is involved in agriculture and business.
