Taban Sharifah Aate is a Ugandan politician and legislator currently serving as the Woman Member of Parliament for Koboko District in the 11th Parliament of Uganda. A member of the National Resistance Movement, she serves on the parliamentary Committee on Education and Sports. Born in 1992, she is the granddaughter of former Ugandan president Idi Amin Dada. Despite her family's historical political opposition to the current administration, she has received state support for her education and maintains a positive relationship with President Yoweri Museveni, whom she views as a father figure.
