亀田忠彦

Tadahiko Kameda is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kashihara, Nara Prefecture. Born in Kobe, Hyogo, he graduated from Tenri University and previously worked as a high school physical education teacher before serving as a secretary to members of the House of Representatives. He was elected to the Nara Prefectural Assembly in 2015 and 2019. Kameda was first elected Mayor of Kashihara in 2019 and secured re-election in 2023. During his tenure, he has navigated fiscal challenges, including a temporary declaration of financial crisis, and has been involved in regional development projects and administrative disputes with the Nara prefectural government.
