Tahir Akyurek

Tahir Akyürek is a Turkish politician currently serving as a member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, representing the province of Konya. A graduate of Ankara University's Faculty of Law, he previously worked as a lawyer and served as the General Secretary of the Konya Chamber of Commerce. He gained significant prominence as the Mayor of Konya, a position he held from 2004 to 2018, during which he implemented various urban development and modernization projects. He has been a member of the Justice and Development Party (AK Party) throughout his political career.
