佐々木孝弘

Takahiro Sasaki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Hachimantai in Iwate Prefecture. Born in 1962 in the former Nishine Town, he began his career as a local government official, working for the Nishine Town office and later the Hachimantai City office following municipal mergers. Throughout his administrative career, he held various leadership roles, including head of the Citizens' Division and head of the Planning and Finance Division. In 2020, he was appointed Deputy Mayor of Hachimantai. He was first elected mayor in 2021 and was re-elected unopposed in 2025.
