Takahiro Yamaguchi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Atsugi, Kanagawa Prefecture, a position he assumed in February 2023. Born in Atsugi, he graduated from Toin University of Yokohama before working in the private sector and serving as a secretary to his father, former Atsugi Mayor Iwao Yamaguchi. He began his political career as a member of the Atsugi City Council in 2007, followed by three terms as a member of the Kanagawa Prefectural Assembly. During his time in the assembly, he held several leadership roles, including chair of the General Affairs Policy Standing Committee. As mayor, he advocates for agricultural promotion, corporate attraction, and generational change in local governance.
