Takamasa Sasaki is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Goshogawara City in Aomori Prefecture. Born in 1954 in Goshogawara, he graduated from the Nihon University College of Law. Before entering politics, he was a business executive, notably serving as the president of Goshogawara Kotsu Co., Ltd. and as the chairman of the Goshogawara Corporate Association. Sasaki was first elected mayor in 2018 and has since secured re-election, most recently winning a third term in June 2026. During his tenure, he has focused on local administrative management, including implementing fiscal measures such as salary reductions for city officials to fund COVID-19 countermeasures.
