Takane Kosaka is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ena City in Gifu Prefecture. Born in Ena, he graduated from the Nagoya Institute of Technology with a degree in architecture. Before entering politics, he had a long career as a civil servant within the Ena City government, eventually serving as the head of the Commerce and Tourism Division and as a policy promotion supervisor. He was first elected mayor in 2016 with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito, and has since been re-elected, currently serving his third term. In addition to his mayoral duties, he serves as the Representative Director and President of the Akechi Railway Company.
