志布隆夫

Takao Shifu is a Japanese politician currently serving his fourth term as the Mayor of Murayama in Yamagata Prefecture. Born in 1950, he graduated from the Faculty of Economics at Chuo University. Before entering politics, he had a long career as a Murayama municipal official, holding various positions including head of the election administration commission secretariat and director of the welfare office. After an unsuccessful bid for mayor in 2009, he was first elected in 2013 and has since secured re-election multiple times, focusing on initiatives such as population decline countermeasures and child-rearing support.
