Takaomi Horie is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kamiamakusa in Kumamoto Prefecture. Born in 1967, he began his career in the private sector at Sekisui House before entering local politics. He served as a member of the Himedo Town Council and later the Kamiamakusa City Council, where he also held the position of City Council Chairman. In 2014, he was first elected as the Mayor of Kamiamakusa following a municipal scandal and has since been re-elected to the post, continuing his service to the city's development and administration.
