高良沙哉

Sachika Takara is a Japanese politician and legal scholar currently serving as a member of the House of Councillors, representing the Okinawa constituency. Before entering politics, she was a professor at Okinawa University specializing in constitutional law and gender studies, having earned a doctorate in academic studies from the University of Kitakyushu. She was elected in 2025 as a unified candidate for the 'All Okinawa' coalition, succeeding Tetsumi Takara. Her political platform emphasizes opposition to the relocation of the Futenma base to Henoko and a strong focus on addressing issues related to wartime sexual violence and the concentration of military bases in Okinawa.
