Kazumoto Takazawa is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Tokyo 11th district. Born in Hiratsuka, Kanagawa Prefecture, in 1974, he graduated from Kokugakuin University with a degree in Shinto studies and holds a Shinto priest qualification. Before his election to the national legislature, Takazawa served four terms as a member of the Itabashi Ward Assembly and worked as a public secretary for members of the House of Councillors. He is also a reserve soldier in the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, having attained the rank of reserve sergeant. His political career has been characterized by his affiliation with the Democratic Party for the People, through which he successfully secured his seat in the 2026 general election via the proportional representation block.
