田中武夫

Takeo Tanaka is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Yasugi in Shimane Prefecture. Born in 1949 in Kiyoi-cho, Yasugi, he graduated from Yasugi High School in 1967. Before entering politics, he worked as a company employee and was self-employed. Tanaka began his political career in 2005 when he was elected to the Yasugi City Council, where he served for four terms and held the position of council chair. In 2020, he was elected as the Mayor of Yasugi, and he secured a second term in 2024 after running unopposed, marking the first time a mayoral election in the city had been decided without a vote since the municipal merger.
