Takeshi Hosaka is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Kai City in Yamanashi Prefecture, a position he has held since 2008. Before his tenure as mayor, he served as a member of the House of Representatives for three terms and was a member of the Yamanashi Prefectural Assembly, where he also served as the 108th Chairman. Early in his career, he was a member of the Ryuō Town Assembly. During his time in the national Diet, he served as the Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology. Hosaka is known for his long-standing involvement in local administration and regional development in Yamanashi.
