Taku Otsuka is a Japanese politician serving as a member of the House of Representatives for the Saitama 9th district. A graduate of Keio University and Harvard Kennedy School, he previously worked at the Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi before entering politics. Throughout his career, he has held several government positions, including State Minister of Cabinet Office and State Minister of Finance. Otsuka is known for his conservative political stances, including support for constitutional reform and opposition to selective separate surnames for married couples. Following a brief period out of office due to the 2024 general election, he was re-elected in 2026.
