Takumi Hayashi is a Japanese politician currently serving as a member of the House of Representatives, representing the Tohoku proportional representation block. Born in 1997 in Kushiro, Hokkaido, he graduated from the Hokkaido University of Education, Sapporo Campus. Prior to his political career, he worked in a correspondence high school, providing academic and life support to students. He was elected to the Diet in the 51st general election held in February 2026 as a candidate for the Team Mirai party and has since been assigned to the Committee on Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries.
