Taron Margaryan is an Armenian politician who served as the 11th Mayor of Yerevan from 2011 to 2018. Before his tenure as mayor, he held various administrative roles, including serving as the head of the Avan district in Yerevan and as the city's first Deputy Mayor. During his time in office, he focused on infrastructure projects such as road construction, the modernization of street lighting, and the renovation of public facilities. He resigned in July 2018 following public protests and allegations of corruption.
