後藤竜也

Tatsuya Goto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Usa in Oita Prefecture. Born in 1975, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and spent time studying in New York before working in the trading and food wholesale industries. He served three terms as a member of the Usa City Council starting in 2011. After an unsuccessful bid for mayor in 2021, he was elected to the position in April 2025. During his campaign, he emphasized a commitment to breaking away from old political ties and vested interests to bring new leadership to the city.
