Thomas Emerson is an Australian politician serving as a member for the electorate of Kurrajong in the Australian Capital Territory Legislative Assembly since October 2024. A graduate of the Australian National University, he previously founded a movement studio called Praksis and worked as an advisor to Senator David Pocock. Emerson co-founded the Independents for Canberra party in 2024 but resigned from the organization in February 2025 to serve as an independent member of the Assembly. He is the son of former federal minister Craig Emerson.
