Thomas Schubert is a German local politician who has served as the Lord Mayor of Coswig since January 1, 2020. An independent politician, he previously worked for the city administration as a treasurer from 2000 to 2019. Schubert studied business administration at the Technical University of Dresden and administrative law at the Saxon Municipal Study Institute. In addition to his mayoral duties, he represents the district of Meißen on the supervisory board of Flughafen Dresden GmbH. He is also a member of the CDU faction in the Meißen district council.
