Tilman Fuchs

Tilman Fuchs is a German politician and the Lord Mayor of Münster, having assumed office on November 1, 2025. Born in Münster in 1970, he studied social pedagogy and spent much of his career in public administration, including leadership roles in the Steinfurt district youth office and as a department head for school, culture, and social services. A member of Alliance 90/The Greens since 2021, Fuchs campaigned on a platform prioritizing social, climate, and intergenerational justice. He won the 2025 mayoral runoff election with 57.91% of the vote.
