Tim Hodgson is a Canadian politician and business executive serving as the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources since 2025. Elected to the House of Commons for the riding of Markham—Thornhill in the 2025 federal election, he previously held a distinguished career in finance, including serving as CEO of Goldman Sachs Canada and as a special adviser to the Bank of Canada. A former reserve officer in the Canadian Armed Forces, Hodgson also chaired the board of Hydro One before entering federal politics under the leadership of Prime Minister Mark Carney.
