Timothy Lee Walberg is an American politician serving as the U.S. Representative for Michigan's 5th congressional district since 2023, having previously represented the 7th district from 2007 to 2009 and 2011 to 2023. A conservative Republican, Walberg previously served in the Michigan House of Representatives from 1983 to 1998 and worked as a pastor and division manager for the Moody Bible Institute. Throughout his congressional career, he has been a member of the Committee on Energy and Commerce and the Committee on Education and the Workforce. He is known for his staunch conservative positions on social issues, healthcare, and foreign policy, including his opposition to the Affordable Care Act and his vocal support for Israel and Ukraine's military efforts.
