Todd Lakey is an American attorney and politician serving as a member of the Idaho Senate. First elected to the state senate in 2012, he currently represents District 23 and serves as the chair of the Senate Judiciary and Rules Committee. A member of the Republican Party, Lakey has been a prominent figure in state legislative affairs, notably acting as a primary sponsor of the 2020 abortion trigger law. Before his legislative career, he practiced law and ran for Idaho Attorney General in 2002.
