Tom Smith

Tom Smith is an Australian politician currently serving as the Labor Party member for Bundaberg in the Queensland Legislative Assembly. First elected in the 2020 state election by a narrow 9-vote margin, he successfully retained his seat in the 2024 state election with a 1.4% swing in his favor, despite broader electoral losses for his party in regional Queensland. Before entering politics, Smith worked as a secondary school teacher. He is recognized for his ability to maintain support in one of the state's most marginal electorates.
