Tomáš Valášek is a Slovak politician and diplomat currently serving as a Member of the National Council of Slovakia. Before entering parliament, he held significant roles in international relations, including serving as the Slovak ambassador to NATO from 2013 to 2017 and working with prominent think tanks such as the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace. Since joining Progressive Slovakia in 2021, he has advocated for progressive policies, including the legalization of civil unions for same-sex couples, pension reform, and the decriminalization of marijuana.
