Torsten Schneider

Torsten Schneider is a German politician and lawyer who has served as a member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin since 2006. A member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD), he has held significant leadership roles within the parliamentary group, including serving as the financial and budgetary policy spokesperson and as the parliamentary manager. Schneider studied law and political science at the Free University of Berlin and previously worked as a lawyer with his own practice in Berlin-Mitte. He has announced that he will not seek re-election in the 2026 Berlin state election.
