Toshiaki Osemachi is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Ome, Tokyo. Born in Ome in 1975, he graduated from Aoyama Gakuin University and later completed his studies at the Rikkyo University Graduate School of Sociology. Before entering politics, he worked for an IT company. Inspired to pursue a political career after meeting former Yokohama Mayor Hiroshi Nakada, he was first elected to the Ome City Council in 2011, serving three consecutive terms. In 2023, he was elected Mayor of Ome after defeating the incumbent candidate with the support of the Tomin First no Kai and the Democratic Party for the People.
