Heidi Alexander is a British politician serving as the Secretary of State for Transport in the United Kingdom. Appointed by Prime Minister Keir Starmer in November 2024 following the resignation of Louise Haigh, she holds overall responsibility for the Department for Transport and is a member of the Cabinet. Prior to her current role, she has been a prominent figure within the Labour Party, having previously served as a Member of Parliament for Lewisham East and as the Deputy Mayor of London for Transport.
