Traycho Traykov

Traycho Traykov is a Bulgarian politician who served as the Minister of Economy and Energy from 2009 to 2012 under the first Boyko Borisov government. During his tenure, he was noted for his firm stance in energy negotiations with Russia, particularly regarding the Belene Nuclear Power Plant project and gas supply contracts. In 2016, he ran as a presidential candidate for the Reformist Bloc, finishing in sixth place. He has been recognized for his appeal to progressive voters and his focus on transparency in energy policy.
