Tri Ta

Tri Ta is an American politician currently serving as a member of the California State Assembly, representing the 70th district. Born in Saigon, Vietnam, he immigrated to the United States as a refugee in 1992. Before his election to the state legislature in 2022, Ta served as a city councilor and later as the mayor of Westminster, California, becoming the city's first Vietnamese-American mayor. A member of the Republican Party, he has been a vocal advocate for increasing civic engagement among Vietnamese Americans and has supported Donald Trump's presidential campaigns.
