Tulip Siddiq

Tulip Siddiq is a British politician who has served as the Member of Parliament for Hampstead and Highgate since 2024, having previously represented Hampstead and Kilburn from 2015. A member of the Labour Party, she has held various frontbench roles, including Shadow Education Minister. Siddiq is known for her advocacy on behalf of constituents, most notably securing the release of Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe from detention in Iran. Her political career began in local government as a councillor for the London Borough of Camden. She is the niece of former Bangladeshi Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and has faced recent scrutiny regarding her family's political ties and financial disclosures.
