Tytsy Willemsma

Tytsy Willemsma is a Dutch politician and administrator who has served as the acting mayor of Ameland since September 30, 2025. Prior to her current appointment, she held various roles in local government, including serving as an alderman in Dongeradeel from 2006 to 2011 and in Tytsjerksteradiel from 2019 to 2025. Earlier in her career, she worked as a communications specialist for the Dutch Probation Service and the Central Judicial Collection Agency, and she also spent several years as a lobbyist in Brussels for the Northern Netherlands Cooperation. Upon becoming mayor, she resigned her membership from the Frisian National Party (FNP).
