Ulrich Commerçon is a German politician and member of the Social Democratic Party (SPD). He has served as a member of the Landtag of Saarland since 1999 and currently acts as the chairman of the SPD parliamentary group. Previously, he held the position of Minister for Education and Culture in Saarland from 2012 to 2019. Throughout his career, he has been deeply involved in regional politics and educational policy, and he is also an active member of the Evangelical Church in Germany's committees on education and youth.
