Ulrike Scharf is a German politician and a member of the Christian Social Union (CSU). Since 2022, she has served as the Bavarian State Minister for Family, Labor and Social Affairs, and she has held the position of Second Deputy Minister-President of Bavaria since November 2023. Scharf has been a member of the Landtag of Bavaria for multiple terms, having previously served as the Bavarian State Minister for Environment and Consumer Protection from 2014 to 2018. Before her full-time political career, she worked as a bank clerk and managed a family-owned travel business.
