Víctor Gutiérrez Santiago

Víctor Gutiérrez Santiago is a Spanish politician and professional water polo player who currently serves as a member of the Congress of Deputies. Before entering national politics, he gained prominence as a member of the Spanish national water polo team, competing at the highest international levels. In 2016, he made headlines by publicly coming out as gay, becoming a notable advocate for LGBTQ+ rights within the Spanish sports community. He is a member of the Spanish Socialist Workers' Party (PSOE) and continues to balance his public service with his background in elite athletics.
