Valdas Benkunskas

Valdas Benkunskas is a Lithuanian politician currently serving as the Mayor of Vilnius, a position he has held since April 2023. A member of the Homeland Union party, he previously served as a member of the Vilnius City Council starting in 2011 and held the role of Deputy Mayor of Vilnius from 2015 to 2017 and again from 2019. Before his mayoral tenure, he worked as an assistant to a member of the Seimas and served as a member of the European Committee of the Regions. He holds a law degree from Mykolas Romeris University.
