Veysal Tipioğlu is a Turkish politician and former police chief currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey representing Kocaeli for the Justice and Development Party (AK Party). Born in Kars in 1966, he graduated from the Police Academy in 1989 and later earned a master's degree from Beykent University. Throughout his extensive career in law enforcement, he served as the police chief for several districts in Istanbul and as the provincial police chief for Muğla, Şanlıurfa, and Kocaeli. Since his election to parliament in 2023, he has also served as the chairman of the TBMM Security and Intelligence Commission.
