Previously, he served as a deputy for the same constituency between 2002 and 2007. Throughout his career, Rolland has held various local offices, including municipal roles in Pralognan-la-Vanoise and Albertville, as well as serving as a departmental councilor for the canton of Moûtiers. A member of The Republicans, he has also served as a vice-president of the Savoie departmental council.
