Vivian E. Cook

Vivian E. Cook is an American politician who served as a member of the New York State Assembly representing District 32 in Southeast Queens from 1991 until 2026. A native of Rock Hill, South Carolina, she previously served as a district leader in Queens for over 25 years. During her tenure, she chaired the Assembly Committee on Standing Committees and the Task Force on Food and the Farm and Nutrition Policy. In 2026, at the age of 88, she announced that she would not seek reelection to her seat.
