Wakooli Godfrey Matembu

Wakooli Godfrey Matembu is a Ugandan politician serving as the Member of Parliament for Butiru County in Manafwa District since 2021. A member of the National Resistance Movement, he was elected to the Eleventh Parliament in the 2021 general elections. He serves on the Parliament’s Committee on Defence and Internal Affairs, where he has been involved in the oversight of security sectors and budget scrutiny. Additionally, he is known for his advocacy regarding infrastructure development, notably lobbying for the rehabilitation of the Butiru–Makenya–Tororo road to support local economic growth.
