William Fariñas

William Fariñas is a Venezuelan politician and former deputy to the National Assembly of Venezuela. Born in Cumaná in 1955, he is a retired Venezuelan Air Force officer who holds a degree in Military Sciences and Arts from the Military Aviation School. Fariñas has held various positions within the Bolivarian government, including roles as Vice Minister of Social Development and president of several social and industrial funds. He is a self-described socialist and bolivarian who has been active in the United Socialist Party of Venezuela (PSUV), serving as a political coordinator in Nueva Esparta.
