William Irwin

William Irwin is a British politician who served as a Member of the Northern Ireland Assembly (MLA) for the Newry and Armagh constituency from 2007 to 2025. A member of the Democratic Unionist Party (DUP), he previously served on the Armagh City and District Council, having been first elected in 2005. Outside of his political career, Irwin is a local dairy farmer. He entered politics following the death of his son and became a prominent figure in his constituency, also serving as the DUP's spokesperson for Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
