城戸陽二

Yoji Kido is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Myoko, Niigata Prefecture. Born in 1967 in what is now Myoko, he spent his early career as a local government official, serving in various administrative roles including crisis management and tourism promotion. He was elected mayor in October 2022 with the support of the Liberal Democratic Party and Komeito. His policy platform focuses on continuing the municipal development projects of his predecessor, including the construction of a new library complex and the implementation of free school lunches for students up to junior high school.
