山本優真

Yuma Yamamoto is a Japanese politician currently serving as the Mayor of Sennan City in Osaka Prefecture. Born in 1990, he made history in 2022 by becoming the first mayor in Japan born in the Heisei era. Before his election as mayor, he served two terms as a member of the Sennan City Council, where he also held the position of Vice-Chair. A member of the Osaka Restoration Association, Yamamoto has focused his administration on child-rearing support, educational reform, and regional cooperation, notably implementing 'Ikuboss' policies and taking paternity leave during his tenure. He was re-elected unopposed in April 2026.
