Yakup Otgöz

Yakup Otgöz is a Turkish politician currently serving as a Member of the Grand National Assembly representing Muğla. Born in 1957 in Karadere, Seydikemer, he began his career as a primary school teacher in Siirt and Erzurum after graduating from the Burdur Education Institute in 1980. Following a period in the trade sector, he served as the headman of Karadere village and later as the founding mayor of Karadere town. He subsequently served as the founding mayor of Seydikemer from 2014 until his election to the national parliament in 2023. He is married and a father of two children.
