近藤弥生

Yayoi Kondo is a Japanese politician and tax accountant currently serving as the Mayor of Adachi Ward in Tokyo, a position she has held since 2007. Born in Umeda, Adachi, she previously worked for the Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department and served three terms as a member of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly. As mayor, she has focused on local governance and social policy, notably overseeing the introduction of a partnership oath system for same-sex couples in Adachi Ward in 2021 to promote diversity and understanding.
