Yoichi Fukuoka is a Japanese politician and lawyer currently serving as the Mayor of Ibaraki City in Osaka Prefecture. Born in 1975, he graduated from Osaka University with a degree in international politics and later completed his studies at the Konan University Law School. Before entering politics, he worked as a lawyer and served as a special lecturer at Konan University. Fukuoka was first elected as mayor in 2016 and has since secured re-election, most recently winning a third term unopposed in 2024. He is known for his legal background and his focus on municipal administration in Ibaraki.
