Yonah Martin is a Canadian politician who has served as a member of the Senate of Canada since 2009, representing British Columbia. Born in Seoul, South Korea, she immigrated to Canada in 1972 and spent over two decades working as an educator before entering federal politics. As the first person of Korean descent to serve in the Canadian Senate, she has focused on bridging communities and advocating for veterans, notably sponsoring the Korean War Veterans Day Act. She currently serves as the Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Senate.
